Rodrygo Goes, injured for Real Madrid

Real Madrid’s Brazilian forward, Rodrygo Goes, will be out of action for approximately ten days due to tendinosis in the hamstring of his right leg. The club confirmed the injury after conducting medical tests on the player, who had been experiencing discomfort that prevented him from training normally. Rodrygo is expected to be available for the La Liga match against CA Osasuna on February 21st. In addition to the injury, the Brazilian will not be able to participate in the first leg of the playoff prior to the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League, on February 17, due to a disciplinary suspension. Rodrygo was sent off in the last European match against SL Benfica in Lisbon, which resulted in a two-match ban imposed by the UEFA Ethics, Control and Disciplinary Committee. This is the second time in 2026 that Rodrygo has suffered a physical setback. Previously, after the Spanish Super Cup final against FC Barcelona, the forward was also absent due to discomfort. In recent matches, the Brazilian has had few appearances, with reduced minutes against Benfica and Rayo Vallecano. The Real Madrid technical staff will closely monitor his progress with specific recovery sessions, hoping to have one of their key offensive players again in the decisive stretch of the calendar.
