Escogido Lions Roar Again! Two-time LIDOM Champions
Santo Domingo – Los Leones del Escogido have made history once again, by being crowned two-time champions of the Dominican Baseball League (LIDOM). With this victory, they add their number 18 championship, consolidating their position as one of the most decorated franchises in Dominican baseball.
The feat was achieved after an exciting fifth game of the final series, where they defeated the Toros del Este with a score of 1-0 at the Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium.
The long-haired team closed the series with a resounding 4-1, demonstrating their superiority and consistency throughout the final, which was agreed to be the best of seven games.
The atmosphere at the Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium was electrifying from the start. The scarlet fans, dressed in red, filled the stands and turned the park into a real party, encouraging their team with constant chants and cheers.
