New England Patriots to Unveil Tom Brady Statue

The New England Patriots will honor their legendary quarterback, Tom Brady, with the unveiling of a statue outside Gillette Stadium. The event will take place before the preseason game against the Washington Commanders on August 8. The official announcement was made on Thursday, coinciding with “Tom Brady Day” in Patriots territory, a celebration that highlights the six Super Bowl championships Brady won with the team, along with his iconic number 12. The plans for this bronze statue, which will measure 12 feet tall, were announced in June 2024, during Brady’s induction into the franchise’s Hall of Fame.

(The statue) will stand alone in the outer plaza of the Hall of Fame to symbolize its position, not as the greatest in the history of the franchise, but as the greatest in the entire history of the NFL.

Brady, 47, is recognized as a three-time NFL Most Valuable Player. His records in the league include the most completed passes (7,753), pass attempts (12,050), passing yards (89,214), and touchdown passes (649). In addition, he obtained his seventh Super Bowl championship with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2020 season.
