WrestleMania Expands: Saudi Arabia to Host the Event in 2027

In an unprecedented milestone, WrestleMania, the pinnacle event of professional wrestling, is preparing for its first edition outside of North America. The city of Riyadh, in Saudi Arabia, will host “The Showcase of the Immortals” as part of the “Riyadh Season” in 2027. This announcement marks a before and after in the history of WWE, which since 1985 has held WrestleMania exclusively in North American cities.

This is an opportunity to show the world that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner of the planet and excites fans everywhere.

The long-awaited news was confirmed after Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, mentioned the event in a live Snapchat video that was later deleted.

WrestleMania is already the most important date on the wrestling calendar, and this announcement marks a significant moment in our partnership with WWE. Our vision is to elevate this iconic event to unprecedented heights and deliver a WrestleMania like never before seen.

The relationship between WWE and Saudi Arabia dates back to 2018, when a billion-dollar deal was signed to hold multiple events in the country for a decade. Next year’s Royal Rumble will be the first of WWE’s four “Big Four” events to be held in Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, WrestleMania 42 will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19, 2026, marking the second consecutive time the gambling city hosts the event.
