WrestleMania Expands: Saudi Arabia to Host the Event in 2027
In an unprecedented move, WrestleMania, the pinnacle event of wrestling, will be held outside of North America for the first time. The 2027 edition will move to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the “Riyadh Season” initiative, WWE announced on Friday. Since its inception in 1985, WrestleMania has been held exclusively in North American cities. However, the vision of Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE’s Chief Content Officer, to take the event global, will finally materialize.The official announcement comes shortly after Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, mentioned the move of WrestleMania to Saudi Arabia in a live Snapchat video, which was subsequently deleted.This is an opportunity to show the world that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner of the planet and excites fans everywhere.

WWE has been holding events in Saudi Arabia since 2018, following a billion-dollar deal with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which includes the holding of multiple events over a decade.
