WWE has announced groundbreaking news for wrestling fans: WrestleMania, the company’s flagship event, will be held outside of North America for the first time. The chosen destination is Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the “Riyadh Season” in 2027. Since its creation in 1985, WrestleMania had been limited to North American cities. Now, WWE’s Chief Creative Officer, Paul “Triple H” Levesque’s vision of taking the event international will come true.The official announcement comes a few days after Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, mentioned in a now-deleted Snapchat live video that WrestleMania would be moving to Saudi Arabia.This is an opportunity to show the world that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner of the world and excites fans from all over.

WWE has been holding events in Saudi Arabia since 2018, thanks to a billion-dollar deal with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that includes multiple company events over ten years.
