WrestleMania Expands: Saudi Arabia to Host the Event in 2027
In a historic announcement, WWE has confirmed that WrestleMania, the pinnacle event of professional wrestling, will be held outside of North America for the first time. The city of Riyadh, in Saudi Arabia, will host “Showcase of the Immortals” as part of the “Riyadh Season” in 2027. Since its inception in 1985, WrestleMania has been limited to North American cities. This decision marks a significant milestone in the global expansion of WWE.The official announcement came shortly after Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, mentioned the event in a live Snapchat video.This is an opportunity to show the world that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner of the world and excites fans everywhere.

WWE has been holding events in Saudi Arabia since 2018, as part of a $1 billion deal that includes holding multiple shows in the country over ten years. Meanwhile, WrestleMania 42 will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19, 2026. It will be the second consecutive time that Las Vegas hosts WrestleMania.
