The city of Riyadh, in Saudi Arabia, will host the 2027 edition, as part of the “Riyadh Season” initiative. Since its inception in 1985, WrestleMania has been held exclusively in North American cities. This decision marks a significant shift in WWE’s global strategy.The official announcement came after the revelation by the chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, Turki Alalshikh, who anticipated the news in a live video on Snapchat, which was later deleted.This is an opportunity to show the world that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner of the world and excites fans everywhere.

WWE has been holding events in Saudi Arabia since 2018, thanks to a billion-dollar deal with the Kingdom, which included multiple events over a decade. The next Royal Rumble, in 2025, will be the first of the four major premium live events (PLE) of WWE to be held in the country.WrestleMania is already the most important date on the wrestling calendar, and this announcement marks a significant moment in our partnership with WWE.
