WrestleMania Expands: Saudi Arabia to Host the Event in 2027
In a historic move for professional wrestling, WrestleMania, WWE’s flagship event, will be held outside of North America for the first time in its history. The city of Riyadh, in Saudi Arabia, will host the “Showcase of the Immortals” as part of the “Riyadh Season” in 2027, WWE announced on Friday. Since its inception in 1985, WrestleMania has been limited to North American cities. Now, WWE’s Chief Creative Officer, Paul “Triple H” Levesque’s vision of taking the event international is materializing.The official announcement comes a few days after Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, mentioned the news in a live Snapchat video that has already been deleted.This is an opportunity to show the world that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner of the world and excites fans everywhere.

WWE has been holding events in Saudi Arabia since 2018, thanks to a billion-dollar deal with the Kingdom, which includes multiple shows over ten years.
