WrestleMania Expands: Saudi Arabia to Host the Event in 2027
In a historic milestone for professional wrestling, WrestleMania, WWE’s flagship event, will be held outside of North America for the first time. The “Showcase of the Immortals” will arrive in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the “Riyadh Season” in 2027, WWE announced on Friday. Since its creation in 1985, WrestleMania has been held exclusively in North American cities. The idea of taking the company’s biggest event abroad had been hinted at by Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE’s Chief Creative Officer, and will now materialize.The official announcement comes a few days after Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, mentioned the news in a live Snapchat video that was later deleted.This is an opportunity to show the world that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner of the world and excites fans everywhere.

WWE has been holding events in Saudi Arabia since 2018, as part of a billion-dollar deal with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that includes multiple events in the country over the next 10 years. Next year’s Royal Rumble will be the first of WWE’s “Big Four” events to be held in Saudi Arabia. WrestleMania 42 will be held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19, 2026. It will be the second consecutive time that Las Vegas will host WrestleMania.WrestleMania is already the most important date on the wrestling calendar, and this announcement marks a significant moment in our partnership with WWE.
