WrestleMania Expands: Saudi Arabia to Host the Event in 2027
The iconic WrestleMania, the pinnacle event of professional wrestling, will break geographical barriers in 2027 by being held for the first time outside of North America. The chosen destination will be Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the “Riyadh Season” program.Since its inception in 1985, WrestleMania has been held in North American cities. This milestone marks a significant change in the global expansion strategy of WWE.
The official announcement comes after the revelation by Turki Alalshikh, chairman of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia, who anticipated the news in a live Snapchat video, which was subsequently deleted.This is an opportunity to show the world that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner of the world and excites fans from all over.

WWE has been holding events in Saudi Arabia since 2018, as part of a billion-dollar deal that includes multiple shows over a decade. The next Royal Rumble, in 2025, will be the first of WWE’s “Big Four” events to be held in the country.WrestleMania is already the most important date on the wrestling calendar, and this announcement marks a significant moment in our partnership with WWE. Meanwhile, WrestleMania 42 will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19, 2026, marking the second consecutive time the city hosts the event.
