WrestleMania Expands: Saudi Arabia to Host the Event in 2027
In a historic milestone, WrestleMania, the pinnacle event of professional wrestling, will be held outside of North America for the first time. The city of Riyadh, in Saudi Arabia, will host this spectacle in 2027, as part of the “Riyadh Season” initiative. Since its debut in 1985, WrestleMania had been held exclusively in North American cities. International expansion was a rumored goal, and now it is materializing.The official announcement comes shortly after Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, mentioned the news in a live Snapchat video, which has since been deleted.This is an opportunity to demonstrate that WWE is a global brand that reaches all corners of the world and excites fans everywhere.

WWE has been holding events in Saudi Arabia since 2018, thanks to a billion-dollar deal with the Kingdom, which includes multiple events over a decade. Next year’s Royal Rumble will be the first of WWE’s “Big Four” events to be held in the country.WrestleMania is already the most important date on the wrestling calendar, and this announcement marks a significant moment in our partnership with WWE. Meanwhile, WrestleMania 42 will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19, 2026. It will be the second consecutive time that Las Vegas hosts the event.
