WrestleMania Expands: Saudi Arabia to Host in 2027
For the first time in its history, WrestleMania, the pinnacle event of professional wrestling, will be held outside of North America. The 2027 edition of the “Showcase of the Immortals” will move to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the “Riyadh Season” initiative.
Since its inception in 1985, WrestleMania has been held exclusively in North American cities. The expectation of taking the event international had been anticipated by key figures in the WWE, and now it will materialize.The official announcement comes shortly after Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, mentioned the event in a now-deleted Snapchat live video.This is an opportunity to show the world that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner and excites fans around the world.

WWE has been holding events in Saudi Arabia since 2018, following a multimillion-dollar deal that ensured the realization of multiple events in the country for ten years. The next Royal Rumble, in 2025, will be the first of the “Big Four” WWE events to be held in Saudi Arabia. WrestleMania 42 will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19, 2026, marking the second consecutive time the city hosts the event.WrestleMania is already the most important date on the wrestling calendar, and this announcement marks a significant moment in our partnership with WWE.
