WrestleMania Expands: Saudi Arabia to Host the Event in 2027
For the first time in its history, WrestleMania, the pinnacle event of professional wrestling, will take place outside of North America. The 2027 edition will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the “Riyadh Season” according to WWE’s announcement last Friday. Since its inception in 1985, WrestleMania has been held exclusively in North American cities. Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE’s Chief Creative Officer, had hinted at the possibility of taking the company’s most important event abroad, and now that vision is materializing.The official announcement comes a few days after Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, revealed the news via a live video on Snapchat, which has already been deleted.This is an opportunity to show the world that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner of the planet and excites fans everywhere.

WWE has been holding events in Saudi Arabia since 2018, thanks to a $1 billion deal with the Kingdom, which includes the realization of multiple events over a decade.
