WrestleMania Expands: Saudi Arabia to Host the Event in 2027

The iconic WrestleMania, the pinnacle event of professional wrestling, will break geographical barriers in 2027 by being held for the first time outside of North America. The city of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will host this spectacle, as part of the “Riyadh Season” program. Since its inception in 1985, WrestleMania has been held in North American cities. This decision represents a significant milestone for WWE, which seeks to consolidate its global reach.

This is an opportunity to show the world that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner of the world and excites fans from all over.

The official announcement comes after the revelation by Turki Alalshikh, chairman of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia, who anticipated the news through a video on Snapchat.

WrestleMania is already the most important date on the wrestling calendar, and this announcement marks a significant moment in our partnership with WWE. Our vision is to elevate this iconic event to unprecedented heights and deliver a WrestleMania like never before seen.

The relationship between WWE and Saudi Arabia is strengthened with this agreement. Since 2018, the company has held events in the country, thanks to a billion-dollar deal that will extend for a decade. Next year, the Royal Rumble will be the first of WWE’s “Big Four” events to be held in Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, WrestleMania 42 will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19, 2026, marking the second consecutive time the city will host the event.
