The city of Riyadh, in Saudi Arabia, will host this historic event, as part of the “Riyadh Season” events. Since its inception in 1985, WrestleMania has been an exclusively North American event. The idea of taking the spectacle global has been a recurring theme, and now it’s materializing.The official announcement comes shortly after Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, mentioned the event in a live Snapchat video, which has already been deleted.This is an opportunity to show the world that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner of the planet and excites fans everywhere.

The collaboration between WWE and Saudi Arabia dates back to 2018, with a billion-dollar deal that includes multiple events in the country over a decade. Next year, the Royal Rumble will be the first of WWE’s four “Big Four” events to be held in Saudi Arabia.WrestleMania is already the most important date on the wrestling calendar, and this announcement marks a significant moment in our partnership with WWE.
