WrestleMania Expands: Saudi Arabia to Host the Event in 2027
For the first time in its history, WrestleMania, the pinnacle event of professional wrestling, will take place outside of North America. The 2027 edition will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the “Riyadh Season” events, according to WWE. Since its inception in 1985, WrestleMania has been held exclusively in North American cities. The idea of taking the event internationally had been hinted at by Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE’s Chief Creative Officer, and will now materialize.The official announcement comes shortly after Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, mentioned the news via a Snapchat video, which has already been deleted.This is an opportunity to show the world that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner of the planet and excites fans everywhere.

WWE has been holding events in Saudi Arabia since 2018, thanks to a billion-dollar deal that includes multiple events in the country over ten years. The next Royal Rumble, in 2025, will be the first of the four most important WWE events to be held in Saudi Arabia. WrestleMania 42 will be held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19, 2026, marking the second consecutive time that Las Vegas hosts this grand event.WrestleMania is already the most important date on the wrestling calendar, and this announcement marks a significant moment in our partnership with WWE.
