Vince McMahon Involved in Car Accident in Connecticut

Former WWE CEO Vince McMahon was involved in a car accident on a Connecticut highway. The incident, which occurred last Thursday morning, resulted in significant damage to his Bentley and two other vehicles. McMahon was cited for reckless driving and following too closely. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the accident. According to the police report, McMahon was driving north on the Merritt Parkway, also known as Route 15, when he rear-ended a BMW, causing his vehicle to hit a wooden barrier. A car traveling in the southbound lanes struck debris from the accident. McMahon was released on $500 bail and must appear in Stamford Superior Court on August 26. One of the people involved in the accident, Barbara Doran, took photos showing the serious damage to the front of McMahon’s 2024 Bentley Continental GT Speed, which was removed on a tow truck in Westport. The photos also revealed damage to the rear of Doran’s BMW 430.
Vince McMahon's 2024 Bentley Continental GT Speed sustained heavy front-end damage from last week's multi-car highway crash in Connecticut.
Doran reported that she was driving in the right lane when she was hit by McMahon’s vehicle. The impact caused her car to leave the road.

I was in the right lane and, suddenly, boom. I was hit from behind and catapulted forward and you can see the tire marks where I was desperately trying to stay on the road

Doran indicated that a state police officer informed him that the other driver was McMahon, whom he did not know well. They both talked after the accident.

Simply, you know, she expressed her concern, she was glad that I was okay and all that. And I thanked her for her concern

This incident occurred a few hours before the news of the death of Hulk Hogan, a wrestling legend, was announced. McMahon stepped down as WWE CEO in 2022 amid a company investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct. He also resigned as executive chairman of the board of directors of TKO Group Holdings, WWE’s parent company, last year, a day after a former WWE employee filed a sexual abuse lawsuit against him. McMahon has denied the allegations. The lawsuit is still pending. McMahon acquired the World Wrestling Federation in 1982 and transformed it from a regional wrestling company into a global phenomenon. In addition to running the company with his wife, Linda, who is now the U.S. Secretary of Education, he also performed at WWE events as himself.
