Former WWE CEO Vince McMahon was involved in a car accident on a Connecticut highway, according to police reports. The incident occurred last Thursday, hours before the news of Hulk Hogan’s death was announced, whom McMahon had publicly praised.
McMahon was cited for reckless driving and following another vehicle too closely. The crash took place on the Merritt Parkway in Westport. Fortunately, there were no injuries. He was released after posting a $500 bond and is due to appear in Stamford Superior Court on August 26.
Authorities indicated that McMahon was driving a Bentley and collided with two other vehicles. The damage to McMahon’s 2024 Bentley Continental GT Speed was significant, as can be seen in the accident images.
The police report details that McMahon, while heading north on the highway, rear-ended a BMW and then crashed into a wooden barrier. A vehicle traveling south was also affected by the debris from the accident.
According to the report, none of the drivers were carrying passengers and all were wearing seatbelts. The airbags in McMahon’s vehicle deployed, but not those in the BMW.
