Vince McMahon Involved in Car Accident in Connecticut
Former WWE CEO Vince McMahon was involved in a traffic accident on a Connecticut highway, which left his Bentley damaged and affected two other vehicles. The incident occurred shortly before the news of Hulk Hogan’s death, whom McMahon had praised, was announced. According to state police reports, McMahon was cited for reckless driving and following too closely to the vehicle in front, following the crash that occurred Thursday morning on the Merritt Parkway in Westport. Fortunately, there were no injuries. He was released after posting a $500 bond and is due to appear in Stamford Superior Court on August 26. The accident was initially reported on Tuesday. Photographs taken by Barbara Doran, one of the people involved in the accident, revealed the severe damage to the front of McMahon’s 2024 Bentley Continental GT Speed, as it was being towed in Westport. The images also showed damage to the rear of Doran’s BMW 430. The police report indicates that McMahon was driving north on the highway, also known as Route 15, when he rear-ended the BMW and crashed into a wooden barrier. A vehicle traveling in the southbound lanes struck debris from the accident that flew over the barrier, according to state police. There were no passengers in the vehicles, and all three drivers were wearing seatbelts. McMahon’s car airbags deployed, while the same did not happen in Doran’s BMW, according to the police report.
Doran stated that a state police officer informed him that the other driver was McMahon, whom he didn’t know well. After the accident, they both talked.I was in the right lane and suddenly, boom. I was hit from behind and catapulted forward, and you can see the tire marks where I was desperately trying to stay on the road.

McMahon stepped down as WWE CEO in 2022 amid a company investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct. He also resigned as executive chairman of the board of directors of TKO Group Holdings, WWE’s parent company, last year, a day after a former WWE employee filed a lawsuit against him for sexual abuse. McMahon has denied the allegations. The lawsuit is ongoing. McMahon acquired the then World Wrestling Federation in 1982, transforming it from a regional wrestling company into a global phenomenon. In addition to running the company with his wife, Linda, who is currently the United States Secretary of Education, he also participated in WWE events as himself. She just, you know, expressed her concern, was glad I was okay and all that. And I thanked her for her concern.
