Vince McMahon Involved in Car Accident in Connecticut
Former WWE CEO Vince McMahon was involved in a traffic accident on a Connecticut highway, according to police reports. The incident occurred last Thursday morning on the Merritt Parkway in Westport. McMahon was cited for reckless driving and for following another vehicle too closely. Fortunately, there were no injuries in the accident. McMahon was released after posting a $500 bail and was ordered to appear in Stamford Superior Court on August 26. The accident involved McMahon’s vehicle, a Bentley, which suffered significant damage. Two other cars were also affected. According to the police report, McMahon was driving north on the highway, also known as Route 15, when he rear-ended a BMW and then crashed into a wooden barrier. A vehicle traveling in the southbound lanes struck debris from the accident that flew over the barrier. The police reported that there were no passengers in any of the vehicles and that all three drivers were wearing seatbelts. McMahon’s car airbags deployed, while those of the BMW did not.
Doran, 72, mentioned that an officer informed him that the other driver was McMahon, whom he didn’t know well. They both talked after the crash.I was in the right lane and suddenly, boom. I was hit from behind and catapulted forward and you can see the tire marks where I was desperately trying to stay on the road

McMahon stepped down as WWE CEO in 2022, amid a company investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct. He also resigned as executive chairman of the board of directors of TKO Group Holdings, WWE’s parent company, last year, a day after a former WWE employee filed a lawsuit against him for sexual abuse. McMahon has denied the allegations. The lawsuit is ongoing. McMahon bought the then World Wrestling Federation in 1982 and transformed it from a regional wrestling company into a global phenomenon. In addition to running the company with his wife, Linda, who is now U.S. Secretary of Education, he also participated in WWE events as himself. He just, you know, expressed concern, was glad I was okay and all that. And I thanked him for his concern.
