Uses Recapture the Championship
Jimmy and Jey, The Usos, were crowned tag team champions again after defeating Styles and Lee. This victory was celebrated by the fans, who have shown their affection for this iconic team. Seeing The Usos with the titles again was an emotional moment to close out the year. However, this reign could be short-lived, anticipating a possible confrontation between Jimmy and Jey at WrestleMania in April.
Styles and Lee’s defeat also opens the door for Styles to start a rivalry with Gunther, as he approaches the end of his career.
Other highlights from “Raw”
Gunther demonstrated his power by defeating R-Truth without complications. This match served to reaffirm Gunther’s brutality and his rise to stardom in WWE. The encounter fulfilled its purpose perfectly.
Bron Breakker kept pace with CM Punk in their exchanges, even with some surprising words. Breakker defended his “nepo baby” status, explaining how his path to WWE stardom was unusual but deserved. Breakker came out well from this encounter, but it seems that CM Punk will retain the title on January 5th.
Maxxine Dupri and Becky Lynch had an entertaining exchange, with Becky’s new personality working perfectly. Becky is expected to regain the title and celebrate in an epic way.
Theory competed prominently in the ring against WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio. There is concern that Theory will become the “scapegoat” in The Vision, rather than aspiring to be a world title contender.
