Real American Freestyle Pays Tribute to Hulk Hogan with WWE
Real American Freestyle (RAF) has joined forces with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) for a moving video tribute to the late commissioner Hulk Hogan. This special tribute will air during RAF’s inaugural event, scheduled for Saturday. Hogan, a key figure in the popularization of the then World Wrestling Federation in the 1980s, passed away on July 24 at the age of 71. The event, which will take place at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, will be broadcast via FOX Nation. Months before his death, Hogan shared his enthusiasm with The Associated Press about RAF, his new company co-founded with Chad Bronstein.RAF and WWE maintain a cordial relationship. Real American Beer, RAF’s main sponsor, is 10% owned by WWE and was also co-founded by Bronstein. American Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle, one of WWE’s biggest stars in the early 2000s, will be the commentator for the event. Bronstein revealed that it was Hogan who suggested Angle’s participation. In addition, former WWE manager Jimmy Hart and former world champion John Layfield will also be part of Saturday’s show. The main event will pit Wyatt Hendrickson against Mostafa Aly Elsayed Gabr Elders of Egypt. Other men’s matches include Bo Nickal vs. Jacob Cardenas; Yianni Diakomihalis vs. Bajrang Punia; Darrion Caldwell vs. Real Woods; and Austin Gomez vs. Lance Palmer. In the women’s category, the matchups between Kennedy Blades vs. Alejandra Rivera and Sarah Hildebrandt vs. Zeltzin Hernandez were scheduled.I was very proud.
