Real American Freestyle Wrestling (RAF) joins World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) for a video tribute to the late commissioner Hulk Hogan, which will air during its inaugural event this Saturday. Hogan, a key figure in the popularization of the then World Wrestling Federation in the 1980s, passed away on July 24 at the age of 71. The event, which will take place at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, will be broadcast via FOX Nation. Hogan had expressed his enthusiasm for RAF, a new company he co-founded with Chad Bronstein. I was super proud,” Bronstein said. “He has been a great friend, mentor, and business partner. And his voice will be very present; this league will find unique ways to make him a part of it. RAF and WWE maintain a cordial relationship. Real American Beer, RAF’s main sponsor, is 10% owned by WWE and was also co-founded by Bronstein.

We don’t compete with them,” Bronstein said about RAF’s relationship with WWE. “They support us a lot. There is no competition because they are two totally different groups. The same goes for the UFC: we are not competition.

American Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle, one of WWE’s most important stars in the early 2000s, will provide commentary. Bronstein revealed that Hogan suggested Angle’s participation. The main event will pit Wyatt Hendrickson against Mostafa Aly Elsayed Gabr Elders from Egypt. Other men’s matches include Bo Nickal against Jacob Cardenas; Yianni Diakomihalis against Bajrang Punia; Darrion Caldwell against Real Woods; and Austin Gomez against Lance Palmer. Scheduled women’s matches are Kennedy Blades against Alejandra Rivera and Sarah Hildebrandt against Zeltzin Hernandez.
