Jim Ross
Ross is widely known for his outstanding career in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), where he worked from 1993 to 2013. His iconic phrases and storytelling style made him one of the most emblematic and beloved voices in wrestling history. His famous exclamation “My God!” or “For God’s sake”, pronounced with his unmistakable Oklahoma accent, is perhaps his most distinctive trademark. Other phrases like “He split it in half” and “That man has a family” are also widely recognized and used in various contexts. In addition to his passion for wrestling, Ross is a fervent follower and promoter of the American football team Oklahoma Sooners, often accompanied by the school song, “Boomer Sooner”. In 2007, Ross was honored with his induction into the WWE Hall of Fame. Since 2019, he has been part of All Elite Wrestling (AEW).

AEW issued a statement expressing its support for Ross:

All Elite Wrestling joins fans around the world to send love and support to Jim Ross as he battles colon cancer. J.R. is a valued member of the AEW family, and we support him during his journey to recovery.
