Last Farewell to Wrestling Icon Hulk Hogan

An emotional funeral service bid farewell to the legendary wrestler Hulk Hogan, who passed away last month at the age of 71. The private ceremony took place on Tuesday night, bringing together dozens of people to honor the memory of Terry Bollea, the “Hulkster’s” real name. The event took place in the same church where Hogan was baptized in 2023. According to the Pinellas County medical examiner’s report, Hogan suffered a heart attack on July 24 at his Clearwater residence. Previously, the wrestler had dealt with leukemia and atrial fibrillation, an irregular heart rhythm. The cause of his death was determined to be natural. Security at the church was reinforced, with the presence of guards and Largo police officers, including K-9 dogs. Access was denied to anyone not on the guest list, with signs indicating “Private Event”. Former President Donald Trump shared a photo on his Truth Social platform where he is seen competing with Hogan in an arm wrestling match, commenting: “Today is the ‘Hulkster’s’ funeral, and I thought everyone would like to see this photo.” Governor Ron DeSantis ordered flags to be flown at half-staff on all official buildings last Friday, proclaiming “Hulk Hogan Day in Florida.” Hulk Hogan, possibly the biggest star in the extensive history of WWE, was recognized both for his charismatic personality and his achievements in the ring. He was the main figure in the first WrestleMania in 1985 and a constant element for years, facing legends like Andre The Giant, Randy Savage, The Rock and even WWE co-founder, Vince McMahon. Hogan’s influence extended beyond the world of wrestling, appearing in various films and television shows, including “Hogan Knows Best”, a reality show about his life broadcast on VH1. Hogan’s remains will be cremated. Her daughter, Brooke Bollea Oleksy, known as Brooke Hogan, paid tribute to her father through a social media post.

“I am very grateful to have met the real version of him. Not just the one the world saw through a carefully curated lens”
