Cam Skattebo, a running back for the New York Giants, has responded to criticism following his participation in a WWE event at Madison Square Garden.
Skattebo, who is recovering from an ankle injury, was part of a staged fight with his teammates. The controversy arose due to his active participation in the event, despite being in the process of rehabilitation.
“If you don’t like me having fun while going through a difficult time, just unfollow me and move on. I can’t play football and have fun like I have my whole life, so I’m doing things outside the ordinary trying to find things that make me happy. Enjoy the rest of the week and just don’t talk about me if you have nothing good to say”.

Skattebo, along with the also rookie Abdul Carter and other Giants teammates, got involved in the altercation with Judgment Day (Finn Bálor, JD McDonagh, and Dominik Mysterio) at the event where John Cena made his last appearance on “Raw”. Comedian Andrew Schulz also participated in the scene.
During the event in New York, Skattebo was seen wearing a New York Rangers t-shirt, while defensive lineman Roy Robertson-Harris sported a New York Yankees one. Carter, for his part, seemed to have a Giants belt over his shoulder.
“I wasn’t there last night. But believe me, I was fighting. I was fighting at home, telling him to get down and sit down,” said running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. “But Cam is a wild man. Cam is a wild man. So, I mean, everyone knows it. So, he’s going to go out and do what he does.”
