Breanna Stewart Conquers a New Title in Unrivaled

The outstanding player Breanna Stewart continues to add achievements to her impressive career. After shining in high school and NCAA basketball, and conquering titles in the WNBA, the World Cup, and the Olympic Games, she now adds a championship in Unrivaled, a league she co-founded, to her record. Stewart and his team, Mist, were crowned Unrivaled champions in 2026, after defeating Phantom with a score of 80-74 in an exciting final match. Stewart led his team with 32 points, setting the pace from the start and securing the victory.

What I will remember most about this Mist team is that we may not be the loudest, but we are the hardest working.

The match, which culminated in a controversial play, ended with Stewart making a crucial free throw to secure the victory. The celebration erupted with the falling of confetti, marking an unforgettable moment for the team.
Stewart leads Mist to the Unrivaled title with 32 points. Epic!
Breanna Stewart and Arike Ogunbowale celebrate their victory in the Unrivaled final on Wednesday. Uncertainty about the labor agreement could make this match the last professional women’s game in the United States for a while.Kelsey Plum, from Phantom, had an outstanding performance with 40 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the performance of Stewart and Mist. Arike Ogunbowale and Allisha Gray also contributed to Mist’s success, while Kiki Iriafen and Tiffany Hayes stood out for Phantom.

There was complete faith in this group. I’m glad we achieved it.

The Unrivaled league, co-founded by Stewart and Napheesa Collier, has filled a void in the professional women’s basketball calendar. The WNBA and its players do not have a labor agreement for next season, which is scheduled to begin in approximately two months. The WNBA has informed the players’ union that it needs to reach an agreement before next Tuesday to start the season on time. For now, there are no signs of this happening. This could mean that the final Mist-Phantom will be the last professional women’s match in the United States for a while. Unrivaled stands out for its fast pace: a 3-on-3 full-court game on a 72-foot court, with an 18-second shot clock, 7-minute quarters, and plenty of space for players to create. The championship game did not disappoint in that sense. In the final quarter, Mist held firm to their lead, and Stewart, once again, celebrated a new title.

It was our goal from day one to be here, to be on this podium.
