Napheesa Collier leads Lynx comeback against the Valkyries

In an exciting WNBA playoff game, the Minnesota Lynx, led by a standout performance from Napheesa Collier, pulled off an impressive comeback to defeat the Golden State Valkyries with a final score of 75-74.

Collier, with 24 points, including a key shot with 1:24 left, was the central figure of the match. His performance was crucial for the Lynx to overcome a 17-point deficit in the third quarter.

Collier proved his worth by making 10 of 16 shots, solidifying his performance after scoring 20 points in the first game of the series. In the second half, he added 14 vital points to bring his team closer to victory and keep alive the hope of conquering the championship.

The Valkyries had their last chance with four seconds remaining, but Cecilia Zandalasini failed to convert a shot. Kayla McBride, with a crucial shot, put Minnesota ahead with 2:48 left, totaling 18 points in the game.

DiJonai Carrington also played an important role, connecting a three-pointer that brought the Lynx closer on the scoreboard. Veronica Burton, for her part, contributed 13 points, nine assists, six rebounds and four steals for the Valkyries.

Monique Billings scored 15 points off the bench.

The match, played in a vibrant atmosphere with an attendance of 18,543 fans, kept the Valkyries in control for much of the game. Despite the defeat, the team demonstrated its potential.

The Valkyries, who made history by being the first expansion franchise to reach the playoffs in their inaugural season, played their first postseason home game in a different venue than usual.
