Sabrina Ionescu Misses Unrivaled Season Due to Injury

WNBA star Sabrina Ionescu will not participate in the second season of Unrivaled due to an injury sustained during the WNBA season. The 3×3 women’s basketball league, which began its second season on Monday, made the announcement on Thursday. Although she won’t play, Ionescu will be involved in off-court initiatives and partnership opportunities. The four-time WNBA All-Star, who plays for the New York Liberty, competed for the Phantom BC during Unrivaled’s first season, averaging 18.2 points and seven rebounds.

Although I am disappointed that I won’t be able to play this season, I will be cheering for the Phantom. I look forward to working with Unrivaled through content and broadcasting opportunities and continuing to support the success of the league.
