Napheesa Collier Suffers Ankle Injury in Lynx’s Historic Victory

Minnesota Lynx star player Napheesa Collier was forced to leave the game against the Las Vegas Aces due to a right ankle injury. The incident occurred during the third quarter of the game, when Collier collided with her teammate Alanna Smith and fell awkwardly on her right foot.

Despite being able to leave the court on her own, albeit with assistance, Collier was officially ruled out of the game midway through the final quarter.

Before the injury, Collier had accumulated 18 points, five assists, three rebounds and two steals in 26 minutes of play. The Lynx’s victory over the Aces with a score of 111-58 marked a milestone in WNBA history, setting a new record for the largest away-game point differential, surpassing the previous mark set by the Houston Comets in 1998.
