Chicago will host the WNBA All-Star Game in 2026
The city of Chicago is preparing to host the WNBA All-Star Game in 2026, the league announced last Thursday. The event will take place at the United Center on Saturday, July 25th. This will be the second time Chicago hosts the prestigious event. Previously, in 2022, the game was held at the Wintrust Arena, the main venue of the local team, Chicago Sky. The United Center, home to the NBA’s Bulls and the NHL’s Blackhawks, offers a much larger capacity, with approximately 20,900 seats for basketball, compared to the 10,380 of the Wintrust Arena. Despite this, Wintrust Arena will still be part of the All-Star festivities, as it will be the stage for the three-point contest and the skills challenge, scheduled for July 24. In addition, WNBA Live, the interactive festival for league fans, will take place at McCormick Place in Chicago during All-Star weekend.This will be the second consecutive All-Star Game in the Midwest region for the WNBA, as Indiana hosted the event earlier this year.The WNBA is thrilled to bring the AT&T WNBA All-Star back to Chicago, which will undoubtedly offer unforgettable competition and community outreach.
