Chicago will host the WNBA All-Star Game in 2026
The city of Chicago is preparing to host the WNBA All-Star Game in 2026, the league announced on Thursday. The event will take place at the United Center on Saturday, July 25th. This will be the second time Chicago hosts the prestigious event. The first time was in 2022, although on that occasion the game was played at the Wintrust Arena, the main venue of the Chicago Sky of the WNBA. The United Center, home to the NBA’s Bulls and the NHL’s Blackhawks, offers a larger capacity, with around 20,900 seats for basketball games, compared to the 10,380 of the Wintrust Arena.Despite the change of main venue, Wintrust Arena will continue to be part of the All-Star festivities, as it will host the three-point contest and the skills challenge on July 24. In addition, WNBA Live, the interactive festival for the league’s fans, will take place at McCormick Place in Chicago during All-Star weekend.
This will be the WNBA’s second consecutive All-Star Game in the Midwest region, as Indiana hosted the event for the first time this year.
