Chicago will host the WNBA All-Star Game in 2026
The city of Chicago is preparing to host the WNBA All-Star Game in 2026, the league announced on Thursday. The event will take place at the United Center on Saturday, July 25th. This will be the second time Chicago hosts the prestigious event. Previously, the city hosted the game in 2022, although on that occasion it was held at the Wintrust Arena, the main home of the Chicago Sky. The United Center, home to the NBA’s Bulls and the NHL’s Blackhawks, offers a considerably larger capacity, with approximately 20,900 seats for basketball, compared to the 10,380 of the Wintrust Arena. Despite the change of main venue, Wintrust Arena will continue to be part of the All-Star festivities, hosting the three-point contest and the skills challenge on July 24. In addition, WNBA Live, the interactive festival for fans, will take place at McCormick Place in Chicago during All-Star weekend. The WNBA is thrilled to bring the AT&T WNBA All-Star back to Chicago, which will undoubtedly offer unforgettable competition and community activities.
