Chicago will host the WNBA All-Star Game in 2026
The city of Chicago is preparing to host the WNBA All-Star Game in 2026, the league announced on Thursday. The event will take place at the United Center on Saturday, July 25th. This will be the second time Chicago hosts this prestigious event. The first time was in 2022, although it was then held at the Wintrust Arena, the main home of the Chicago Sky WNBA team. The United Center, home to the NBA’s Bulls and the NHL’s Blackhawks, offers a larger capacity, with around 20,900 seats for basketball, compared to 10,380 at the Wintrust Arena. Despite the change of main venue, Wintrust Arena will continue to be part of the All-Star festivities, as it will be the place where the three-point contest and the skills challenge will take place, scheduled for July 24. In addition, WNBA Live, the interactive festival for league fans, will be held at McCormick Place in Chicago during All-Star weekend. The WNBA is thrilled to bring the AT&T WNBA All-Star back to Chicago, which will undoubtedly offer unforgettable competition and community activities. Along with the Chicago Sky, we look forward to celebrating the brightest stars of the game, engaging WNBA fans from around the world, and showcasing the energy of one of the most iconic basketball cities. This will be the second consecutive All-Star Game in the Midwest for the WNBA, after Indiana hosted the event for the first time this year. The Chicago Sky is excited to welcome the 2026 WNBA All-Star game back to Chicago. We are eager to build on the success of the previous All-Star game and celebrate the explosive growth of the league by showcasing the WNBA’s biggest stars on a world-class stage.
