Caitlin Clark Ready for a Comeback… to Golf!
Basketball star Caitlin Clark is preparing for a return to action, but this time, on the golf course. After a season in the WNBA marked by injuries, Clark will participate in the pro-am of The Annika tournament, an LPGA Tour event. The pro-am will take place on November 12th at the Pelican Golf Club and will be open to the public. Clark, who already demonstrated her appeal last year, when she had just finished her rookie season in the WNBA and was named Rookie of the Year, expects to attract a large crowd. The Annika is the penultimate tournament on the LPGA schedule. Clark has a corporate relationship with Gainbridge Insurance, the main sponsor. The second season of Clark in the WNBA was affected by injuries. She only played 13 games and was ruled out for the rest of the season on September 4 due to a groin injury. The Indiana Fever, despite reaching the playoffs, were eliminated by the Las Vegas Aces in the semifinals.I had an incredible experience at The Annika last November, playing in the pro-am with Nelly Korda and Annika Sorenstam, two of the best in this sport.
