Caitlin Clark Ready for the Golf Pro-Am
WNBA star Caitlin Clark is preparing to return to action, but this time on the golf course. After a season marked by injuries, Clark will participate in next month’s pro-am at The Annika, an LPGA Tour event. The pro-am, scheduled for November 12 at the Pelican Golf Club, will be open to the public. Last year, Clark, who had just completed her first season in the WNBA and was named Rookie of the Year, drew a large crowd. The Annika is the penultimate tournament on the LPGA schedule. Clark has a corporate relationship with Gainbridge Insurance, the main sponsor. The second season of Clark in the WNBA was affected by injuries. She only played 13 games and was ruled out for the rest of the season on September 4 due to a groin injury. The Indiana Fever, despite reaching the playoffs, were eliminated by the Las Vegas Aces in the semifinals.I had an incredible experience at The Annika last November, participating in the pro-am alongside Nelly Korda and Annika Sorenstam, two of the best in the game.
