Alyssa Thomas Makes WNBA History with Consecutive Triple-Doubles

In a historic night for women’s basketball, standout player Alyssa Thomas achieved an unprecedented feat in the WNBA. Thomas led her team, the Phoenix Mercury, to a resounding victory over the Indiana Fever, with a final score of 95-60, thus marking their third consecutive win. Thomas became the first player in WNBA history to achieve three consecutive triple-doubles. Her performance in the game included 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists, solidifying her name in the league’s record books. The 19th triple-double of her career, far surpassing any other player in the WNBA, was secured with a crucial assist to DeWanna Bonner, who made a three-pointer from the corner. In her last three games, Thomas has accumulated impressive stats: 41 points, 33 rebounds, and 32 assists.

Indiana struggled to score in the third quarter, only adding 11 points in that period. The regular season series is tied 1-1, with the next game scheduled for September 2 in Phoenix.
