Las Vegas Aces Celebrate Their Third Championship with an Epic Parade
Las Vegas celebrated with a party to celebrate the Aces’ third championship in four years, marking a milestone in the history of women’s basketball. The parade, held on the famous Strip, was the culmination of a season full of emotions and triumphs.The parade, led by low-riding classic cars showcasing their hydraulic systems, featured five double-decker buses that traveled along the Las Vegas Boulevard. On the last bus, the Aces threw streamers and confetti at the thousands of fans who had gathered hours before, creating a festive and joyful atmosphere. The Aces, after a season start with ups and downs, managed to overcome very close playoff series and swept the Phoenix Mercury in the WNBA final, demonstrating their resilience and determination. The Toshiba Plaza was the epicenter of the celebration, bringing together fans of all ages and important personalities. This event marked the fourth professional championship for the city since 2022, with the Aces winning three and the NHL’s Golden Knights taking the Stanley Cup in 2023.We’re back! Coach Becky Hammon, who completed her fourth season with the Aces, highlighted the ease with which she led the team this year. Hammon praised the dedication and character of the players, who overcame adversity and demonstrated great unity. After losing several key players from the previous championship teams, the Aces welcomed new faces and needed almost three months to consolidate before achieving 16 consecutive wins at the end of the regular season, securing second place in the playoffs.We should do it again next year.

A’ja Wilson, four-time MVP, expressed her excitement when talking about Hammon’s dedication to each player, highlighting the coach’s unconditional support. NaLyssa Smith, who joined the team mid-season, also shared her gratitude, emphasizing the positive impact her teammates had on her life. Jackie Young, a key player in the three championships, summed up the team’s mentality with a concise and forceful phrase: “This is not over.” The celebration culminated with confetti, fireworks, and the iconic song “We Are The Champions” by Queen, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. The event featured live musical performances by Crime Mob, Ludacris, and Mya.This is a special group; we pray together and toast with champagne together.
