Tsitsipas Hires Goran Ivanisevic as Coach
Stefanos Tsitsipas has announced the addition of Goran Ivanisevic as his new coach, in an attempt to revitalize his career after a series of disappointing results in Grand Slam tournaments.
The Greek tennis player, a former French Open finalist, suffered a second-round defeat to qualifier Matteo Gigante at Roland Garros on Wednesday. This early elimination in Paris is Tsitsipas’s worst since 2018.
With only two victories in his last four Grand Slams, Tsitsipas has turned to Novak Djokovic’s former coach to change the course of his performance.
Ivanisevic, who helped Djokovic win nine of his 24 Grand Slam titles before leaving his team in March 2024, also had a brief stint with Elena Rybakina this season. This exciting collaboration arrives just in time for the 2025 grass season, as the Greek star seeks to elevate his performance on one of the most prestigious surfaces in the sport.

Wimbledon will start on June 30th.
