BOLOGNA, Italy – The Spanish tennis team has secured its place in the Davis Cup final, thanks to the outstanding performance of the doubles pair formed by Marcel Granollers and Pedro Martínez.
Granollers and Martinez achieved a crucial victory over the German duo composed of Tim Pütz and Kevin Krawietz, with a score of 6-2, 3-6, 6-3, thus sealing the Spanish triumph with an overall score of 2-1 in the semi-final.
Alexander Zverev kept Germany’s hopes alive with a singles victory over Jaume Munar, with a score of 7-6 (2), 7-6 (5). Previously, Pablo Carreño Busta had given Spain the first point by defeating Jan-Lennard Struff.
