Sabalenka Conquers US Open: Two-time Champion with Power and Drama

New York – Aryna Sabalenka demonstrated her supremacy in the US Open final on Saturday, defeating Amanda Anisimova with a score of 6-3, 7-6 (3). The world number one exhibited a powerful and effective game, securing the title for the second consecutive year, something that hadn’t been seen since Serena Williams.

Sabalenka added her fourth Grand Slam title, all obtained on hard courts, consolidating her dominance in the women’s circuit.

The road to victory was not entirely straightforward. Sabalenka, with a break advantage on two occasions during the second set, served for the championship at 5-4. However, tension took hold of the crucial moment. At a critical point, on the verge of achieving the match point, Sabalenka missed a smash, sending the ball into the net.

Anisimova, 24 years old, took the opportunity to tie the score at 5-5, to the ovation of the audience present at the Arthur Ashe stadium.

Despite the pressure, Sabalenka recovered and, after a brief lapse, converted her third match point, sealing her victory and securing her place in tennis history.
