Rybakina Conquers the Ningbo Open: Tenth WTA Title for the Kazakh Tennis Player
NINGBO, China – Elena Rybakina showcased her power by coming back from a set down to defeat Ekaterina Alexandrova in the final of the Ningbo Open. The final score was 3-6, 6-0, 6-2, thus securing her tenth WTA title. Rybakina, seeded number three, had a hesitant start, allowing her Russian opponent to take a 4-1 lead in the first set. However, the Kazakhstani tennis player reacted strongly in the second set, dominating her rival, seeded number four. Rybakina strung together nine consecutive games and achieved 11 aces throughout the match.This triumph represents Rybakina’s second title of the year. The outstanding performance of the Kazakh player at the end of the season keeps her in the fight for a place in the WTA Finals to be held in Riyadh in November. For Alexandrova, this defeat marks her third consecutive lost final in a WTA 500 tournament.
