Rybakina Conquers Ningbo Open and Secures Tenth WTA Title

NINGBO, China – Elena Rybakina showcased her power by coming back from a set down to defeat Ekaterina Alexandrova in the final of the Ningbo Open. The final score was 3-6, 6-0, 6-2, thus securing her tenth WTA title. The tennis player, seeded number three, had a shaky start, falling 4-1 behind in the first set against her Russian opponent. However, Rybakina reacted strongly, dominating the second set and maintaining control in the third. The Kazakh player managed to connect 11 aces and won nine consecutive games, solidifying her victory.

This triumph represents Rybakina’s second title so far this year. Her performance at this stage of the season keeps her in the running for a spot in the WTA Finals in Riyadh, to be held in November. For Alexandrova, this final meant her third consecutive defeat in a WTA 500 final.
