Rybakina Conquers Ningbo Open After Epic Comeback

NINGBO, China – Elena Rybakina showcased her power by coming back from a set down to defeat Ekaterina Alexandrova in the Ningbo Open final. The final score was 3-6, 6-0, and 6-2, thus securing her tenth WTA title. The tennis player, seeded number three, had a hesitant start, falling behind her Russian opponent 4-1 in the first set. However, Rybakina reacted strongly, dominating the game and winning nine consecutive games. In the process, she connected 11 aces, showing her superiority on the court.

I thank my team for always pushing me to be better. Especially at the end of the season, it’s not easy, but without you I wouldn’t be here.

This triumph represents Rybakina’s second title so far this year. This performance keeps her in the fight for a place in the WTA Finals, which will be held in Riyadh in November. For Alexandrova, this was her third consecutive loss in a WTA 500 final.

I want to congratulate Ekaterina on a great week and a great season so far.
