Holger Rune Injured and Will Be Out of the Courts for a While
Danish tennis player Holger Rune, currently ranked number 11 in the world, announced that he will be away from the courts for a while due to an Achilles tendon injury that will require surgery.
The injury occurred during the Nordic Open semi-final in Stockholm on Saturday. Rune was forced to retire from the match against Ugo Humbert while leading the match with a score of 6-4, 2-2.
Rune himself shared the news through his social media, expressing his frustration and sadness about the situation.

In his post, Rune explained that his Achilles tendon suffered a “complete rupture in the proximal part” and that he will be operated on next week.
The Danish tennis player has reached the quarter-finals in three Grand Slam tournaments and reached number 4 in the world ranking.
