Emma Raducanu Ends Her Season Due to Physical Problems

British tennis player Emma Raducanu has decided to end her season early due to physical problems she experienced in China. This decision puts her participation in the Australian Open in January in doubt, where she hoped to secure a good position. The player retired during her match against Ann Li in Wuhan last week, due to dizziness caused by the high temperatures and humidity. Subsequently, she shared an image on social media from the doctor’s office.

Despite feeling better, Raducanu decided to participate in the Ningbo Open, but she did not fully recover and lost her first match. Raducanu had planned to play in the Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo and then in the Hong Kong Open, but opted to focus on her recovery. The athlete has been feeling unwell for the last ten days and has preferred not to push her body. Now she will take some time off the court before meeting with Francisco Roig, with whom she began working in August. On the positive side, Raducanu and Roig have agreed to continue their collaboration in 2026. Raducanu has had a season with ups and downs, including difficulties on and off the court. Despite this, she has managed to climb in the world ranking. The tennis player, who currently holds the number 29 position in the world, will seek physical stability and good pre-season training to have a successful 2026.
