At 16 years old, Pohankova managed to break her opponent’s serve six times on court number 1, thus securing her first Grand Slam title in the junior category. This triumph marks a milestone for Slovak tennis, as Pohankova is the second consecutive Slovak player to win the title, following in the footsteps of Renata Jamrichova, who achieved it last year.

It’s an incredible moment because Renata won last year and two Slovak girls have won in two consecutive years. It’s something incredible for Slovak tennis.
