Tunisian tennis player Ons Jabeur, three-time Grand Slam finalist, has announced a break in her professional career. The news was communicated by the 30-year-old player herself through her social media on Thursday. Jabeur, known for being the first Arab woman to reach a Grand Slam final, has experienced difficulties in her performance in recent months. This year, she has not managed to get past the third round in any major tournament. Her participation in Wimbledon came to an abrupt end last month, when she withdrew from her first-round match against Viktoriya Tomova, due to health issues following an extensive medical break. The former world number 2 suffers from asthma and experienced breathing difficulties at this year’s Australian Open.Jabeur, often called the “minister of happiness” for her cheerful personality, expressed that she didn’t feel truly happy on the court.For the last two years, I have been pushing myself a lot, fighting against injuries and facing many other challenges.
