Musetti Receives Warning at Roland Garros for Unsportsmanlike Conduct

In a tense quarter-final match at Roland Garros, Lorenzo Musetti was warned for unsportsmanlike conduct. The incident occurred during his match against Frances Tiafoe on Tuesday.

The Italian tennis player, after losing a crucial game, reacted impulsively by hitting a tennis ball that accidentally hit a line judge.

Musetti, eighth seed, was down 5-3 in the second set. At that moment, upon receiving the balls for the next game, he kicked one of them with his left foot, directing it straight towards the line judge.

The chair umpire immediately announced the warning for a code of conduct violation. It should be noted that this was the first warning for Musetti, without implying a penalty.

Tiafoe finally won the set. Musetti had won the first set, in a match where a place in the semifinals was at stake.
